A major new art prize and competition

TFP RECEIVING DAYS - IMPORTANT NOTICE

Due to street closures caused by the British 10k London Run, we’ve been informed it will NOT be possible for cars or vans to drop off work at our administration offices at 17 Carlton House Terrace BEFORE 1:00PM on SUNDAY 6 JULY.

Pedestrian access to Carlton House Terrace will still be possible via The Mall from 10:00am and throughout the day. However, pedestrian access to Carlton House Terrace from Pall Mall may also NOT be available BEFORE 1:00PM on SUNDAY 6 JULY.

We shall now remain open for receiving work until 8:00PM on SUNDAY 6 JULY, MONDAY 7 JULY AND TUESDAY 8 JULY to compensate for this inconvenience, which is entirely out of our control.

Welcome to the Threadneedle Figurative Prize - an exciting new event launched by the Mall Galleries, London, showcasing the finest in contemporary British figurative art.

  • This major new competition champions excellence and innovation in figurative art.
  • Approximately 60 of the best works selected from a national open submission will be exhibited at the Mall Galleries between 20 August and 6 September 2008.
  • Our four selectors will shortlist seven works to win the £25,000 Threadneedle Figurative Prize – but it’s your vote that counts! The work that receives the largest share of public votes wins the Prize.
  • All works selected for the exhibition are eligible to win the £10,000 Federation of British Artists Selectors’ Choice awarded by the selectors.
  • The same artist can win both prizes, making this event one of the most valuable competitions in the contemporary art world.
  • Vote at the exhibition or online. Voting starts on 19 August and closes at 12:00 noon on 3 September 2008.
  • All works in the exhibition will be available to view online before 19 August 2008.
