THREADNEEDLE FIGURATIVE PRIZE

Myself and a few other staff from the Mall Galleries attended a conference last Friday at the National Gallery about the fourth plinth in Trafalgar Square. Previous commissions and ideas based around the fourth plinth have always interested me. The space, as it was pointed out frequently throughout the conference, is such a prominent and key public area.

So here it is, the first real blog. It's starting.

I know it's probably really obvious that the Prize is all about figurative, but I thought the first entry would be good if I said, or rather answered, ‘why figurative?'
